Stretching for 277 miles, the Grand Canyon is a gorge in Arizona which, at its widest point, is 18 miles wide.It has been discovered recently that the Grand Canyon may have been created over 17 million years ago. However old it is, it’s difficult not to be taken aback when you’re stood above the canyon looking down at the Colorado River flowing through the centre.
